Autumn vibes
A series of illustrations I created during autumn 2024.
I photographed, vectorized, and refined the illustrations on my computer, but I made sure to preserve my own linework and personal touch throughout the process.
The color choices are intentionally close to each other in terms of saturation and contrast. Especially in the earlier illustrations of the series, the subject and background blend into one another. With these pieces, I wanted to support the narrative of fading light and growing darkness.
I wanted to capture the atmosphere of autumn with this series. The illustrations depict fleeting moments, and through the colors, I tell a story of time slipping away.
At first, autumn begins to settle in, with flowers still battling against the cooling nights. Next, a pigeon rushes by, followed by a bundle of garlic and wilted cut flowers. Time flows on. The series concludes with a Christmas cactus against a red background, marking the end of autumn and welcoming the arrival of winter.
